QOTS is a publishing event for fans of Buffy. The story starts after Buffy and Company get back on the bus….no spoilers for those watching Season Seven for the first time, but suffice to say that it was both exciting and challenging to imagine the Buffyverse all the things that came to pass at the conclusion of the series.
QOTS conforms to the continuity of Angel Season Five–we can all recite the various tidbits about what the Scoobies were up to–astral projection, Rome, the Immortal–and also to what Willow and Buffy wrought, in their efforts to defeat the Biggest Bad they had ever come up against. Until, of course, the evils Buffy & Co. face in QOTS.

My partner has been a huge Buffy fan for ages and passed me this book after he had finished it,”you will love it” he enthused.I had seen a couple of episodes of Buffy on the TV and thought it ok.Anyway I have just finished the book and loved it to bits. When can we expect another?

This is one of my favorite books, I hope there will be a second one in the near future. I bought Queen of The Slayers right after it came out, and have been hoping for a second one! I do have to say this is probably my favorite BtVS book!

Hi, Amy! Thank you so very much for that. I would love to write another one. Three weeks ago, while I was packing to go the World Fantasy Convention in Austin, I watched a few eps from season three on my computer–when Faith shows up, Wesley arrives, etc. Oz is still in the mix. Great, great stuff.
Did you know that Joss is writing a “Season 8″ comic? It sounds like he is letting some time go by, as opposed to QOTS, which picks right up after Sunnydale go bye-bye.

I loved the way that it incorporated season five of Angel and even though it made me cry at the end, it was nice to finally get some closure to what really happened after the credits rolled on the series finale of Angel. I also am a little confused about the little one. I get the ‘imbued by Angel/Spike spirit’ thing, but when she touched her tummy at the very end… was that a portent for maybe another book or was that her touching her tummy cause there was actually a little one magickally put there?

Do you know if there is a possibility of Joss taking a scene from the book and putting it into Season Eight? I know he mentions one of the three Buffy’s being in Rome, but will he incorporate Willow’s astral travelling or will he say that there are two Willow’s?

I just finished “Queen of the Slayers,” and I am ready for another installment already! This book was well written and thought out. “Buffy touched her lower abdomen-” Waiting for this next book will be excruciating but fun! Please, don’t make us wait too long!

Millie, I am so very grateful for these wonderful words. I had hoped to write more adventures for Buffy and that certain small person (attempting not to spoil) but to my very great sorrow, my publisher is discontinuing the Buffy book line. There will be a couple more books out, but none by me. It would be difficult to express how sad I am, but this is the decision from TPTB.

I have been a fan of BTVS ever since the start and have just finshed QOTS, I have read lots of Buffy novels by of a heap of different authors but QOTS is the best by far!

I am just about at the end of Queen, and I have really enjoyed Buffy. It picks up where I wanted it too. It gave some history and background to the Scoobies and all the slayers that Willow enchanted. I like it very much! I even liked you brought Oz back! I missed him. Looking forward to your next Buffyverse novel.

I can’t believe they are ending the Buffy publishing program. You are absolutely the best at these books and thats saying something because the other writters of the Buffy books are quite good. Queen was completely amazing. I hung on every letter of that book. I laughed, I cryed, and I squealed with delight when it wrapped up. Isn’t there anything we can do to make them continue, at least for a couple more books. Couldn’t we petition or something? Is everyone with me here?

I’m a Buffy fan and I just ordered this book. I can’t wait to read it! I’m sure I’ll love it. You should keep it going and keep writing new Buffy books. I’m sure all the fans would love that. (including me!)

Amazingly enough, i finished Life of Pi on time! I am now reading Christopher Golden’s DARK CONGRESS, the newest, and second-to-last BtVS book. It is also the second book set after Season 7, QUEEN being the first of course. It is really good so far. Chris is letting me interview him over it Nancy! I think it may be only the first or second interview Btvs-Angel-Authors will have after the 2-yr anniversary in February. That sounds sad, but We’ve been up to a lot of other things, including the contests. Did i tell you that the site now includes the Buffy and Angel comics?

Hi i have just finished QOTS and was soooo excited about the continuing story until i just read that you will not be writing another!? What!? i cant believe they would stop you continuing this story!? Its awesome!! it was everything the story needed, you included all the parts Buffy and Angel wise to help them mesh together again. I agree with Kathey is there nothing we can do (Petition?) etc to make them change their minds???? I am obsessed with Buffy? angel and the show still after all these years has such a huge fanbase, they can’t just stop you writing the stories its not fair!! We have the Season 8 comics but its not the same! Please isnt there anything we can do??? P.s oh and Carnival of Souls was just awesome too, Angel going all Lusty was the best and funniest touch!! lol

Hi. I haven’t read the book yet but I just finished reading ‘Blackout’ by keith DeCandido and at the back there was an advertisment for it. I nearly had a heart attack I was so excited when I was reading it, and then when I told my sister, she almost had one. I was just wondering, if it incoporated the whole Buffy/Spike relationship because I love them together. :). So yeah just wondering, but its okay if you dont tell me because I don’t want to spoil it for others. Also i demand that you write 5 billion more Buffy books because I think I’ll cry if Buffy ever actually stopped. I think all Buffy fans agree with me that that would be the worst thing ever!

I am a huge fan of btvs and was excited to hear of Queen of the slayers. As soon as I bought it and started reading it I couldn’t put it down. I only wish that Willow had found a way to bring back Tara, and it was a tragic loss too (no offence, but i’m not a big fan of kennedy). QOTS is my fave book, and it was an honour to have read it.

Do you have any thoughts on the book “Dark Congress” by Christopher Golden. What I mean is, is it true this book tells the story after season 7 and that it even interacts with QOTS?

Hello again to one of my favorite Buffy authors (yes that would be you). This short letter is just to say thank you (again) this time for “Keep me in Mind”. Now for some reason for which I cannot explain, I find the “Stake Your Destiny” books to be unique, fun and to be above(again quality over quantity) many of the other books in the series.
I don’t know, maybe class participation is key, you know, getting the audience involved so they control the destiny of the character. Like I said, unique and enjoyable.
I probably mentioned before that I am a late entry into the Buffyverse and find i am still catching up on the vast amounts of Buffy “stuff” out there to read, which explains why I am thanking you for a book that came out several years ago.
