With Thanksgiving Day, we get the greenlight to feel festive and generous–and sometimes that’s hard. I know some people reading this are having a tough day–with relatives they don’t like, or without those whom they love most. I know some of you are alone…or feel alone. I am thankful that I know that despite the turkey and the trimmings, in some ways this is just another day. I’m at my computer, listening to Loreena McKinnit, and this is a special shoutout to anyone who is feeling sad or pressured.
Thank you so much for all your emails of late. I had to finish several things at once, and I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I will reply. And I hope to have news on several fronts.
I’m thankful for you.

Hi, Tim, and Shiai! I know that this is a dicey time of year for a lot of creative peope (like you guys.) The relentless cheerfulness, the advertising that makes you think that if you spend your life’s savings on a Wii, your house will be as clean and trendy as a movie set and all of your friends will be smart and savvy…and then there are those memories of celebrations that either warm your heart or make your blood run cold…
