“Daughter of the Blood” is HERE!
I’m very excited to announce that my new dark fantasy, DAUGHTER OF THE BLOOD, has been hailed as a December Top Pick (4 1/2 stars out of 4) by Romantic Times.
Romantic Times says:
“Full of magic and supernatural beings, Izzy DeMarco’s life is far from what it used to be when she worked in the evidence department of the New York City Police Department. Now she’s in New Orleans to become Guardian of a supernatural family and deal with various beings out to kill her. Izzy gets help from Jean-Marc Devereaux, soon-to-be guardian of his own family. Daughter of the Blood (4 1/2) by Nancy Holder is a wild tale about magic families with a heritage dating back to Joan of Arc. Holder wonderfully maintains the tension from the first story in the series, and the book ends with a shocker.”

DAUGHTER OF THE BLOOD has been nominated for “Best Bombshell” by Romantic Times Magazine!

Daughter of The Flames
When a mysterious stranger helped her discover her family’s legacy of fighting evil, things began to make sense in Isabella DeMarco’s life. But could she marshal her newfound supernatural powers to fend off the formidable vampire hell-bent on bringing Izzy down in flames?
DAUGHTER OF THE FLAMES is the story of Isabella (”Izzy”) DeMarco, a 26-year-old New Yorker who discovers that she is the long-lost heiress of a legacy of magic handed down to the women in her family by Joan of Arc. Not only that, but her family, the House of the Flames, is only one of the many Gifted clans, families, and tribes who operate under the radar of our (Ungifted) world. The Gifted world is in turmoil–and Izzy’s family is under attack. It falls to Izzy to save the House of the Flames, when all she wants to do is go to the NYPD Academy and work on her relationship with NYPD Detective Pat Kittrell. But Le Fils, the King Vampire of New Orleans, and sexy Jean-Marc de Devereaux, Izzy’s mentor, have other plans for her.

Something Wicked Evil This Way Comes
There’s something troubling about Professor Caligari’s Traveling Carnival. Perhaps it’s that no one can recall the arrival of its hard-to-miss caravan of old-style wagons, countless performers, and horse-drawn carts. Maybe it’s the creepy calliope music that tirelessly beckons visitors. Let’s face it, an enigma that chooses Sunnydale nearly guarantees it’s up to more than wholesome family entertainment.
After a visit to the carnival’s Hall of Mirrors, a once-shy pair of homely sophomore twins parades the halls of Sunnydale High like diva supermodels on a runway. Intuiting the twins’ abrupt personality change as more than a self-confidence boost, Buffy — joined by Angel, Giles, and the rest of the Scoobies — decides to investigate the suspicious carnival firsthand. But soon it’s apparent that the price of admission is higher than she imagined. Those who enter the carnival’s attractions exit…changed. Each of the gang soon shows extreme displays of vice. Willow is wracked with envy. Cordelia’s greed consumes her. Xander unleashes his gluttony. Angel reveals a lusty new persona. And a dark anger rises in Giles. But it’s Buffy’s now-blinding pride that threatens to overpower her, and in the process destroy those she loves….

Queen of the Slayers
QOTS is a publishing event for fans of Buffy. The story starts after Buffy and Company get back on the bus….no spoilers for those watching Season Seven for the first time, but suffice to say that it was both exciting and challenging to imagine the Buffyverse all the things that came to pass at the conclusion of the series.
QOTS conforms to the continuity of Angel Season Five–we can all recite the various tidbits about what the Scoobies were up to–astral projection, Rome, the Immortal–and also to what Willow and Buffy wrought, in their efforts to defeat the Biggest Bad they had ever come up against. Until, of course, the evils Buffy & Co. face in QOTS.
I hope you’re pleased by QOTS. I loved working on it.

HEAT
In his first year in Los Angeles, Angel, the vampire with a soul, came across an inter-dimensional hunter named Jhiera. The seductive woman was only trying to protect other females in her culture from being stripped of their emotions–intense intense emotions that gave them dominance over men. Angel fell victim to her heat, but Jhiera had to return to her own dimension. Now “She” is back and searching for a lost young woman who may be the key to unleashing an interstellar war–a war that will be led by a powerful sorcerer, determined to free China’s terracotta army of fierce samurai from their long imprisonment…
In Sunnydale, Buffy Summers is casting about in her new life–as school counselor, guardian of Dawn, best friend, keeper of Spike’s sanity, and of course as Slayer–hoping to find something, anything, that will give her back that “finished” feeling. A demonic army with a dragon at its head is so not what she needs right now.
That can’t be a coincidence…can it?
“Full of the action and wit characteristic of the popular television series…. Sure to be a crowd pleaser.”
